  BEYOND

The call to follow Jesus means going beyond ‐ beyond what's comfortable, beyond the routine, beyond the way we practice our Christianity, beyond the kind of people we are today. The disciples of Jesus followed Jesus and they were able to go beyond what they thought they could. Jesus is still calling us to follow him. He wants us to go beyond what we can be and do. It's time to go beyond, way beyond. During this six weeks of Lent, let's talk about it.

 THE BARBARIAN WAY

This sermon series is based on Erwin McManus' powerful book titled The Barbarian Way. In this book he calls us to return to the ancient, primal, and dangerous faith of Jesus and his early disciples. This is the barbarian way: To give your heart to the only One who can make you fully alive. To love Him with simplicity and intensity. To unleash the untamed faith within. To be consumed by the presence of a passionate and compassionate God. To go where he sends you, no matter the cost.

A New Sermon Series for those who have never lived the year of 2010!

On the road, there are three simple rules that have power to change lives: Stop, Slow Down, and Go. In our spirituality, John Wesley taught, we have three simple rules: Do No Harm, Do Good, and Stay in Love with God. They might look simple. But they have power to change our lives. Come and let us prepare ourselves with these three simple rules for this new year.
